Overview

Want to start engaging digitally but not sure what to put your teeth into first? Go through an introduction of blogging, podcasting, youtubing and internet platforms with us. With tips and tools to start engaging online, and with discussions on what digital engagement actually means and how to find our audience online. If you are keen to go digital but want to scope the options, this session is for you.

Who is this for?

This is an introduction to Digital Engagement. It is suitable for people with little experience in engaging online who are thinking about starting a project digitally.

What skills will you acquire?

An overview of podcasting, youtubing, social networks, web platforms and general engagement online.

Where will you use this?

In times of lockdown, as online events and engagement become the norm we all need to think about how to use digital tools better – this session will offer a solid foundation for anyone thinking about participating in an online event in the next few months.

This can be a great session to give a new shape to your current Enabling Fund project, or it might give you ideas to start one up. It will also be useful in the public engagement experiences and activities which we are currently delivering online, such as the Genomics Lite programme or at events, such as the Cambridge festival.
