Using objects drawn from the Wellcome Genome Campus collection this display charts the development of how DNA has been sequenced; from Fred Sanger’s breakthrough in the 1970s, and the ambitious Human Genome Project of the 1990s, to the high-throughput methods of today, which is enabling new scales of research.

The Cultural Zone exhibition space is open on the third Saturday of the month for drop-in visits, and at other times for special events. Group visits are also very welcome, by arrangement.
