Genome Gallery, Wellcome Genome Campus, Hinxton CB10 1SA

Date:

Sat 15th Dec, 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm

On the third Saturday of every month join us at the Wellcome Genome Campus. Each month there is an afternoon of activity, and something fun for everyone! There’s a chance to visit our exhibition and get stuck into science with some hands-on activities. You will also have the chance to join a guide for a visit to Open Lab, an exciting new space on campus for you to discover more about our history and the cutting-edge research that happens today. Everyone is welcome, though we recommend Open Lab for ages 10 and up.

Until April 2019 you can visit Curious Nature, an interactive exhibition for all the family. The exhibition explores the Wellcome Sanger Institute’s 25 Genomes project; sequencing 25 UK species for the first time. Discover what we could uncover and get curious about nature!

The event cafe will be open, selling a range of drinks and small snacks. You are welcome to bring a packed lunch with you too.

Open Saturdays are FREE for everyone but booking is required. Just hit the “Book now” button above.

To celebrate the festive season, our colleagues at the Wellcome Genome Campus Conference Centre invite you to share in the holiday spirit with a screening of Arthur Christmas! The film will start at 2pm in our auditorium, so you can have fun at Open Saturday before you take your seats. Tickets are £5 adults/£2.50 children. Find out more and book your tickets here!
