Wellcome Genome Campus, Hinxton, CB10 1SA
Wed 18th Jul, 10:00 am to 3:00 pm
Join us for a day of inspiration and create prints inspired by research into parasites and the impact that they have on human health. Cristina Ariani from the Wellcome Sanger Institute will share insight into her work on the ecology and evolution of the malaria parasite. Tutors from the Curwen Print Study Centre will then guide you in creating prints inspired by this subject. Learn how to use a drypoint needle to incise lines and textured marks into an acetate sheet to create detailed images. Experiment with sanding, cutting and layering your acetate plate to create varied experimental images. And learn how to use chîne collé to add new shape and colour. The workshop is suitable for all abilities.
Maximum 10 places.
