Join our growing team of STEM Ambassadors by booking a space in our next induction session.
The STEM Ambassador scheme is the UK’s nationwide network of enthusiasts sharing experiences of science with schools and the public. Coordinated by a Government-funded group across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, the STEM Ambassador network helps match up the needs of community groups and schools with ambassadors who have relevant experience.
We’ve teamed up with our local STEM Ambassador Hub – SETPOINT Hertfordshire – to offer induction and training sessions on campus that will help you to complete the induction process and also help you with planning and delivering public engagement activities. Ambassadors are accredited for three years after joining, and have to undertake one engagement per year to retain membership. Any of our public engagement opportunities count towards your activity – from leading tour groups to participating at a science festival.
Next induction session:-
Tuesday 3rd December 10:30 – 13:00 in the Discovery Zone, Sulston Building. Lunch is included.
