Our Open Saturdays invite everyone to explore the exhibition in our campus Cultural Zone and take part in related activities including curator talks, hands-on DNA-based science and catch a tour of the Wellcome Genome Campus.

The current exhibition is called Hidden Lives and explores what a human genome can reveal about us all – past and present.

The exhibition was inspired by a series of archaeological excavations at the Wellcome Genome Campus, accompanied by many interesting finds. By combining archaeology with cutting-edge genomics research we are discovering who lived on this site thousands of years ago. The exhibition  features archaeological finds, including human skeletal remains, along with film and hands-on activities to reveal some of the conclusions of these hidden lives of our ancestors.

On Saturday 16th December, make an afternoon of it as the Wellcome Genome Campus Conference Centre will be hosting a special festive screening of family favourite “Home Alone“, from 2-4.30pm in our tiered auditorium. Tickets are £4 adults, £2 children. More details and to book your film ticket via this weblink. https://www.eventsforce.net/homealone

Open Saturdays are free but booking is essential.
